The past two months have flown by! I have been keeping busy
with plays, commercials, print work, short films, music videos, industrials,
and a TV show that airs on Investigation Discovery. Wow, what a great two
months!
Reginald Rose’s “12 Angry Jurors” opened on October 2nd
at The Princess Theater and had a successful run. The play takes place in a hot
jury room at the beginning of a jury’s deliberation. Before any formal
discussion, they cast a vote in a case that seems so cut and dry. Eleven of the
jurors vote “guilty.” Only one juror votes “not guilty,” Juror #8 (self). As
tempers rise throughout the play, slowly but surely, Juror #8 guides the others
toward a verdict of “not guilty.” I never thought I would have the opportunity
to play Juror #8 (pictured below). I enjoyed every second of the
challenge. Below: Alea Figueroa as Juror #8. Photo by Nick Murphy.

I also worked on two short films. I was cast as the lead in “All is Lost,”
directed by Chris Beemer, a short film that asks the question, “How far will
you go for revenge and love?” That film shot in downtown Clermont in September
and while shooting, I met Joshua Ortiz. Josh was shooting the behind the scenes
footage and we truly enjoyed working together. After we wrapped “All is Lost,”
Josh asked me to star in his next short “Life, Camera, Action.” This film is
about never giving up on your dreams, despite what obstacles may get in your
way. I love the message.
I have also been fortunate enough to keep my days busy
acting in a number of commercials for companies such as Universal Studios and
Geekology, industrials for Diamond Resorts and Florida Hospital, the Planet
Asia “Mystique” music video, and modeling for print advertisements for the 2014
Disney Food & Wine Festival and Crescent Bayshore Communities. The
highlight in October was getting a call from my agent telling me the good news
that I was booked as a DETECTIVE on Investigation Discovery’s “TRUE CRIME.”
It truly has been a phenomenal two months. I am so thankful
for all of my family’s love, support, and understanding of my crazy schedule.
Thank you!
For now, I will keep pushing to get as many acting jobs as I
can. Every day is an adventure and I love the journey I am on!
